"Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus"
St. Thérèse of Lisieux was a French Carmelite. Her “Little Way” is a path of holiness based on love and simplicity. Her ideal is spiritual childhood, trusting in the love of God the Father. That is why I like to portray her as a child. I referred to a photo of her for this painting and decided to leave her sister Pauline's hand in because it shows her dependence and trust in her family, too.
