St. Thérèse of Lisieux
Feast Day Oct 1, d. 1897.  Patroness of the Missions.

Popularly known as the “Little Flower,” she lived a quiet life at home and in a Carmelite convent where she developed the “little way” of spiritual perfection through childlike trust in God.  This sepia rendition shows Therese toward the end of her days, when suffering has weighed upon her. Thérèse is also the patron of Sue's art business.
