Saint Francis is a favorite of everyone. Of course, he had an overwhelming love of God’s creation, which I also share. I love to feed the birds and see God’s Hand in every detail of this world’s beauty and order. But many don’t realize Francis had such a consuming love for Christ he was given the Stigmata, a replication of the wounds Jesus suffered for our sins.
